It is with much regret that the Old Sandbachians’ Association has learned, via Richard Ayres, that Old Sandbachian Owain Rogers has died at the age of 37.
He was a very enthusiastic Royal Navy cadet in the CCF in 1998-2002. His family moved back to South Wales where he was a sailing instructor before joining the Royal Navy. He was still serving at the time of his death.
Owain’s parents provided this photograph showing Owain receiving the H V Barnard trophy for achievement in the CCF RN Section.
H V Barnard was the Bursar in the Jon Francis era.
