With government restrictions still in place and travel still challenging, we have spoken to the RAF Club and have agreed to postpone this event for another 6 months.
The new date is March 13th 2021.

It is with the deepest sadness that we are letting you know of the death of Reg Dunning (BEM) earlier today.
Reg dedicated his life to Sandbach and in particular to Sandbach School. He was a founder member of the Old Sandbachians Rugby Club, now Sandbach RUFC, and served as a driving force and an officer of the Old Sandbachians for over 50 years.
The new staff room was built on the old Tennis Court and included a galley, Lockers and upstairs 6 offices.
Having consulted with a number of parties, including the RAF Club, and acknowledging that at least 2 old boys would be unable to travel as they are coming from overseas, we have taken the decision to postpone the March event until October 24th.
We are excited to be joining with the school to launch the Old Sandbachians Business Network. We have to be honest and let you know that the OSA has been a quiet partner in the organisation of this event.
I write on a Saturday morning at 10:20, with storm Dennis battering the UK. My mind drifted back to such days at school. Somewhere in the region we would be smothering Vaseline on our legs to try and keep the cold out before heading onto a windswept rugby pitch.
A much better extension was added in 1962. In order to get to it an upstairs English classroom had to be shortened and space was made for a corridor where the class used to be. If you look you can see the join.
In 1932 a new block was built to match the cheaper side of the 1911 building. To do this they had to build a big parapet foundation to make the new block the same height as the 1911 extension.
Today I read a few interesting facts. At the weekend Man United will play their 4000th consecutive game with a home-grown talent in their match day squad, a record dating back to 1937. A Conservative MP will represent Leigh (in Greater Manchester) for the first time since the constituency was formed in 1887.
The new buildings required the demolition of the Round Chemistry building and they had to be attached to the end wall of the old school main schoolroom. They had a problem as they had to match the brickwork of the 1849 building.
